What to Expect

There are four different events during Formal Sorority Recruitment. In order to better prepare you for the events, PHC has provided a brief general description of each of the nights as well as the appropriate attire for each event.

Information Sessions:

 

Information Sessions provide an overview of the Formal Recruitment process and are a perfect opportunity to ask questions! All Sessions are located in the Greenawalt Student Development Center in the basement of Creese Student Center.

Round One - October 5th, 5 pm

Cresse Lobby

What to Expect:  In this round, you will visit all 5 sorority houses for 40 minutes each. This night is meant to be "meet and greet" in style. You will have the opportunity to meet each of the sisterhoods and learn about each chapter's

leadership, academic, social, community service and sisterhood programs.


Dress: Business Casual- khaki pants, capri pants, knit tops, sandals, heels

Round Two - October 7th, 5:30 pm

Cresse Lobby

What to Expect: In this round, you will visit up to three houses for 45 minutes each. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to ask more in-depth questions and to gain greater understanding of the bonds of sisterhood that exist between members


 Dress: Business Casual – khaki or dress pants, capri pants, knit tops, sandals, heels

Preference -October 9th, 5:30 pm

Cresse Lobby

What to Expect:  In this round, you will visit up to two houses for an hour each. You will get a much more intimate look into the chapter and its member.


Dress: Cocktail -a dress/suit you would wear to church or temple, a cocktail party, skirts, dress pants, blouses, heels

- prom type dresses are unnecessary.

Bid Day -October 10th , 11 AM

Behrakis Grand Hall (Creese)

What to Expect: Bid Day is when you find out which chapter you will be joining and you also learn the affiliations of your recruitment counselors. It is a fun-filled day that you will spend getting to know your new sisters and new member class!


Dress: Casual - jeans, t-Shirts, shorts, tennis shoes, sandals
